La Ciudad de Minneapolis ha anunciado la apertura de sus albercas para niños para este Sábado 23 de Mayo.
El fin de semana de Memorial Day trae consigo la apertura oficial de las albercas en gran parte de las ciudades de Minnesota, las temperaturas cálidas son mas frecuentes y la natación o la recreación en los chapoteaderos son una actividad popular para las familias en la ciudad.
La mayoría de estas albercas infantiles (con excepción de las albercas escolares) abrirán este sábado 23 de Mayo y permanecerán abiertas hasta el día Septiembre 7, justamente cuando los pequeños se disponen a regresar a clases después del activo verano.
Las albercas infantiles permanecen usualmente abiertas desde las 10am hasta las 9pm y su uso no tiene costo. Estas albercas no presentan a algún salvavidas en el sitio, por ello los padres son los responsables de la seguridad de sus hijos, además de su diversión. Existen mas de 75 locaciones de parte de la oficina de Parques y Recreación de Minneapolis para la diversión y el refresque de los niños durante el verano, las cuales incluyen albercas para niños, playas y parques acuáticos.
