This role is all about building meaningful connections through outreach, engagement, and relationship-building, you’ll help ensure that communities have access to information and support they need.
- Hybrid work arrangement and flexible hours options are available.
- This role will require significant time spent outside of the office, working in the community, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to work occasional weekends, evening and/or holiday hours to represent DPS at community engagement events and celebrations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of full-time equivalent outreach, education, or training experience.
- Computer skills demonstrating proficiency with word processing, database, spreadsheet, and
- presentation software.• Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities.
- Excellent oral and written comprehension and communication skills sufficient to communicate effectively and concisely with a broad variety of stakeholders.
- Experience engaging historically impacted populations through inclusive and equitable outreach. Skilled in building trust, fostering participation, and expanding access to resources.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage, collaborate, and maintain relationships with community organizations, government agencies, and the public.
Preferred Qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience developing materials along with presentation skills sufficient to effectively present to audiences of youth learners.
- Written and verbal fluency in more than one language.
Physical Requirements
- Requires occasionally moving and transporting 50-pound items and frequently moving and transporting objects such as heavy tools and heavy file boxes.
- This job may require positioning self to move to a significant degree across rough terrain or may involve maintaining a stationary position for extended periods.
